This interactive workshop is delivered via Zoom in two parts (two weeks a part), so you will need a device with good sound and a camera. It’s suitable for all recent grads and newly-qualified vets in their first year in practice. There will be a maximum of 8 delegates, and you’ll receive five hours of CPD credits.
Our graduate 7 Steps Consult Skills is designed to cover everything you need to know about communicating clearly, confidently and effectively with clients as a new grad. In the sessions you will:
• Learn how to structure your consults using the 7 Steps
• Acquire practical skills to help you avoid and defuse difficult situations
• Gain an invaluable understanding of how pet and horse owners think and behave
• Learn how to flex your communications to suit different personalities and contexts
Patients only achieve the best outcomes when we work closely with the people who care for them. That requires us to quickly develop a rapport with clients so that they trust us, and follow our recommendations. It’s not difficult, but when you’re doing it twenty times a day, it’s important to get right early on.
